Our church is
enrolled in the e-Scrip fundraising program, which includes local merchants as well as many local
restaurants. With no additional cost to you, a portion of your bill can be
contributed to Aptos UMC.
Just as many schools use this program to raise funds, so can our church.
The eScrip program rewards customers by contributing a percentage of members’ purchases at a
variety of stores and restaurants to a group such as a school or, in our case, church. All you have to do to become a member is to register your grocery club card and/or debit/credit cards. (The site takes
care to keep this information secure.) Then visit the stores you regularly shop at, such as Safeway or
Macy’s, and use the card you registered, and a percentage of your shopping is credited to Aptos UMC.
You can also register for eScrip dining, and the church will receive a percentage of all your payments at participating restaurants. You can do good while enjoying a wonderful meal!
The primary merchants affiliated with eScrip in our area are Safeway, Macy’s, and OfficeMax. Many
more merchants are listed online and offer rewards through the eScrip Online Shopping Mall.
Dozens of local restaurants participate in the program, including:
Palm Deli
Cilantros
Dharma’s
El Palomar
Smoqe
Golden China
Hindquarter
Severino’s Grill
If you’re already participating in an eScrip program for your children’s schools, you can add Aptos
UMC and donations will be split between the organizations. Donations can be split up to three ways.
Just go to www.eScrip.com . Our
group ID number is 500003636; you can also find us by entering Aptos United Methodist Church in
the site’s search box. If you have any questions, please contact Netha Thacker or Clyde Vaughn.
