MUSIC
Music is a huge part of our joyful experience at Aptos UMC. We have 4 delightful music groups in addition to the outstanding musical talant on staff. Every Sunday brings a variety of musical offerings.
APTOS BELLS OF JOY
Performing in Sunday services as well as community events, the bell choir is a heavenly reflection of God's gift of music to us all. Led by Pastor Dave, this group of dedicated musicians meet for weekly rehearsals and are available for occasional outside performances.
MEN'S QUARTET
An amazing blend of voices performing a wide variety of music, from traditional barbershop to hip-hop to Calypso, and more. When this group performs, attendance swells to standing room only.
SANCTUARY CHOIR
Under the tutelage of Music Director Susie Lewis, this largest of our musical groups hones their skill with a variety of musical styles. Meeting weekly to rehearse, the Sanctuary choir performs most sundays during the school year as well as accompaning the annual Children's Christmas pageant.
SUMMER PICKUP CHOIR
A more casual, drop in choir, meeting before service during the summertime, the Pickup Choir prepares easier anthems each week and is the perfect place for beginning musicians to warm up before starting with a more structured group. This choir meets from June thru August.
